While ShellToys XP should be compatible with 3rd-party file managers and Explorer replacements, we can't guarantee success in all of the many utilities available. Much depends upon whether - and how - those utilities implement Windows context menus. The two tools that are unlikely to be supported are Select By Type and Go To Folder. This isn't an error in ShellToys: it's simply that these tools rely on interfaces built into the Windows shell that may not be implemented in non-Microsoft utilities. If ShellToys XP causes problems in a 3rd-party utility, you can 'hide' ShellToys from that application using the Compatibility tab of the ShellToys XP Settings window. Deselecting the 'Display icons beside file and folder items' option on the Options tab may also cure problems in 3rd-party utilities. |
